Kate Moss approved–Topshop grand opening in Soho today

U.K.-based Topshop is opening its first U.S. flagship store in New York’s SoHo neighborhood today, Thursday, April 2. Famous for its cheap-chic clothes and collaboration with supermodel Kate Moss, the store’s stateside arrival has been much anticipated. Moss’s new fashion collection for the brand–her ninth collection for Topshop–goes on sale globally the same day.

The store’s fashion pedigree doesn’t stop at Kate Moss–shoppers will also be treated to new exclusive collections by Jonathan Saunders and Preen for Topshop

The four-story 40,000 sq. foot shop has a similar design to the Oxford Street flagship in London. In the store, there is a 700 Sq ft Kate Moss shop, a massive boutique section, a shoe department, and a DJ booth.

Deliveries will be daily, and there will be 100 new pieces in store each week. And keeping the Topshop tradition, students will receive 10% off!

Those interested in catching a glimpse of Miss Moss (and getting trampled by frenzied fashionistas and photographers in the process) may be in luck. Presumably, she is going to do the ribbon cutting at the store with Topshop owner Sir Phillip Green at 11am on Thursday.

If you can’t make it to the opening, don’t despair–this week a chic Topshop van has been spotted cruising around New York handing out goody bags and gift cards, which are worth up to $500.

Opens 11am at Broadway and Broome in Soho. www.topshop.com
