Another robbery on 116th Street

Saturday brought yet another robbery to 116th Street, but it seems this time, the suspects did not get away with the stolen property, according to a Barnard Public Safety e-mail sent out to students this evening.

Garrett Doherty, the Barnard Public Safety supervisor, said in the e-mail that a Barnard student was the victim of grand larceny on West 116th Street between Broadway and Claremont Avenue just before 5 pm.

“Two suspects approached the victim, proceeded to grab her bag, and, while fleeing the location, dropped the property and continued towards Riverside Drive,” Doherty said.
